Tempeh Meatball Sub

Ready to take your sandwich game to the next level? Try our Tempeh Meatball Subs featuring Henry's Tempeh! These flavourful meatballs, gooey dairy-free cheese, and zesty tomato sauce will make your taste buds dance.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 package of Henry’s Tempeh Seasoned Crumble
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp soy sauce or gluten-free tamari or coconut aminos
  • 2 slices of your favourite dairy-free cheese cut into strips
  • ½ cup tomato sauce
  • ¼ cup chopped parsley
  • 4 sub buns or dinner rolls can swap in gluten-free buns or rolls

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350C.
  • In a bowl, combine tempeh crumble and spices and then shape into 12 balls. Place on a baking sheet.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes until starting to crisp.
  • Remove from the oven and place 3 meatballs on each bun, top with tomato sauce and cheese strips. Place back on the baking sheet and broil on low until the cheese starts to melt and the bun is browning. Keep a close eye on it!
  • Remove from the oven and top with parsley. Enjoy!
