Meet the Sloppy Henry: Our twist on the classic Sloppy Joe! Made with @henrys_tempeh seasoned crumble for that perfect blend of taste and texture. Pile it high on a toasted bun (swap in a gluten-free bun to keep it all GF!) and top with pickles for that extra crunch.

  • 1 package of Henry's Tempeh Seasoned Crumble
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 medium onion finely diced
  • 4-6 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tbsp mustard
  • 1 tbsp vegan Worcestershire sauce or tamari optional
  • ½ cup ketchup
  • ½ cup water
  • 2-4 pickles sliced thin
  • 4 buns toasted

Instructions
 

  • In a large pan, heat the olive oil over medium low. Add the onions, garlic, salt and pepper. Cook for 5 minutes, until soft.
  • Add the tomato paste and stir to combine. Add the Henry's Tempeh and cook for 2-4 minutes.
  • Add the mustard, vegan Worcestershire, ketchup and water. Mix to combine. Taste and adjust the seasoning. Cook through until the water is absorbed and the mixture starts to thicken.
  • Toast your buns and pile the Sloppy Henrys high! Top with pickles and dig in!
