Orange Tempeh

Ingredients
  

  • 1 brick of Henry's Original Tempeh torn into bite size pieces
  • 2 tbsp corn starch
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Orange Tempeh Sauce:

  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 2 tbsp rice wine vinegar
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp powdered ginger
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp red chilli flakes
  • orange zest from 1 orange
  • 1 tbsp corn starch + 1 tbsp water
  • sesame seeds and green onions for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your air fryer to 400F (you can also use an oven it just might take longer)
  • In a bowl, add the torn tempeh, 2 tbsp corn starch, salt and olive oil. Toss to combine and place in the air fryer basket, knock the basket to remove excess corn starch. Air fry for 10 minutes or bake for 20- Depending on your air fryer, it might take a few more minutes. The tempeh is donw when it is crispy.
  • In a pot, add everything for the orange tempeh sauce except the corn starch + water, and orange zest. Bring to a boil. In a small bowl, combine the corn starch and water. Add that to the orange sauce. It should thicken quickly. Remove from the heat and add the orange zest. Combine the tempeh and the sauce in a bowl.
  • Serve with rice and top with sesame seeds and green onions and dig in!
