Dragon Tempeh

Dragon Tempeh

Ingredients
  

  • 1 brick of Henrys Original Tempeh cut into bite size pieces
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp corn starch
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Dragon Sauce

  • 1/2 cup nutritional yeast
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 tbsp mushroom stock
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • 2 garlic cloves peeled
  • 1 tbsp miso paste
  • 2 green onions sliced, for garnish
  • 1/2 of a Hot Chilli Peppers sliced, for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Place the tempeh in a large bowl and add olive oil, corn starch and salt. Toss to combine.
  • Preheat a large pan over medium heat and add 1 tbsp olive oil. Add the tempeh and sear until golden brown all over. Should take 10 minutes, flipping occasionally.
  • In a blender, combine all the ingredients for the dragon sauce and blend on high until well combined. Pour over the tempeh and mix to combine. Lower the heat and cook for 2 minutes until is starts to thicken.
  • Serve on top of French fries like we did, or on rice.
  • Top with green onions and hot peppers. Enjoy!
